Get rdy: Competitive guide for August 31st - September 7th
A new week is upon us and that means events and competitive matches will be gearing up or winding down. With this season's packed schedule it is easy to miss something, so we've compiled a weekly planning guide to keep track of what is going on.
League of Legends
The LCK Playoffs continue this week, with three spots at Worlds up for grabs. The reigning world champions, T1, have a long road to reach those heights and nail-biting clash against FEARX on Saturday showed the team could fall to the lower bracket and face elimination at any point.
Karmine Corp managed to win the Summer split, dethroning G2 Esports, and heading into the playoffs as top seed for the first time in history. But more than that, Fnatic failed to make the cut and will miss Worlds for the first time in 10 years.
Fnatic, a storied European organization, and the first ever League of Legends world champions, missed the playoff berth after losing to GIANTX and G2 Esports in the final week of the LEC.
The conclusion of the LCS 2026 Summer split is this week, and Team Liquid are one game away from locking in the top seed over LYON. To do so, they’ll need to beat Dignitas in their final game of the season, and hope LYON struggle with Diguised. Both opponents are bottom of the table teams, so the top seeds will be hoping for easy victories.

Counter-Strike 2
BLAST Open Porto
BLAST Open Porto took up most of last week, but it's also the main focus this week. We've got huge games today like Vitality vs FUT and Aurora vs G2 for a playoffs berth, as well as Spirit vs FURIA and MOUZ vs Falcons for a semi-finals spot.
We do hate six team playoffs so very much.
That said, when the six are going to be THIS good, who cares, frankly. We'll be on the ground in Portugal this weekend to deliver interviews and recaps straight to the front page, so make sure you have us as your homepage so you don't miss anything. That's a demand.

Dota 2
The competitive landscape is still reshifting and reeling from The International so not much is happening just yet. Expect things to pick up in a few weeks once PGL Wallachia S9 and BLAST SLAM VIII take off Sept 17th and 29th respectively.
Regional Affairs
Local and regional fans very little treats on the menu this week.
Europe
EPL Masters II began August 30th. There are 16 European teams competing for a slice of the $100,000 prize pool. MOUZ, NAVI, and HULIGANI have been invited directly to the playoff seed that will begin after the weekend. For now, the group stage is in full swing with Level UP and Power Rangers vying for a spot in the playoffs.
