BLAST Open Fall 2026
Description
BLAST Open Fall is one of BLAST's flagship events, in an uncommon destination, this time taking place in Porto. BLAST are no stranger to the country of Portugal, but traditionally Lisbon has seen the bulk of the events. With the world's best teams directly invited, we got another chance to see how this season is shaping up - and with $1.1M on the line, it's more than just a warm-up for bigger events down the line.
With no Cologne in this second season of the year, BLAST Open Fall takes on more significance as a big event and Spirit, off the back of EWC, have a chance to solidify their credentials as the top contender for the throne. Falcons, Vitality, FUT and FURIA might just have something to say about that, though.
While the top 12 teams were invited via VRS (with paiN replacing BetBoom), the bottom four qualified via BLAST's regional Rising tournaments - those being Lynn Vision, DENDELE, Inner Circle and M80 respectively.
Tournament Format
This is a simple double elimination bracket split into two groups, with the much-maligned six-team playoffs to follow over the weekend beginning on the 4th September.
All matches are best-of-three, with the standard Active Duty map pool, including the newest addition, Cache.
