Get rdy: Competitive guide for September 7-13th

A new week is upon us and that means events and competitive matches will be gearing up or winding down. With this season's packed schedule it is easy to miss something, so we've compiled a weekly planning guide to keep track of what is going on.

League of Legends

LCK We now know our four LCK representatives for Worlds 2026, even with a week to go until the end of the season. Dplus, T1, Gen.G, and Hanwha Life will all head to the US later this year to compete in the World Championships. But with seeding and bragging rights on the line, T1, HLE, and Gen.G will clash over the next week to find out which team will be crowned the 2026 LCK Champion.

LEC Karmine Corp and G2 are on track to meet again in the Grand Finals of LEC Summer 2026 playoffs. Both teams are locked in for a trip to worlds, but it remains to be seen if KC can clutch their first regional title, or if persistent G2 takes another.

LCS The LCS regular season concluded late last week, with LYON and Team Liquid on top. With host nation pride on the line, these upcoming playoffs will decide who represents NA on home soil during Worlds 2026.

LPL It’s the final week of the LPL 2026 Split 3, and the final four teams, Anyone’s Legends, Bilibili, Invictus Gaming, and LGD Gaming are set to battle it out for a single spot at Worlds. This isn’t the final chance (LPL has a separate Regional Finals) but it's the quickest way a team can lock in a chance to head to the biggest event in competitive LoL

Counter-Strike 2

Spirit's back-to-back trophies has the CS world shook, and with them not at a big event for nearly a month, it's a chance for other teams to get their hands on silverware without fear of being donk'd.

FISSURE Playground

FURIA head to FISSURE Playground as the overwhelming favourites, with a trailing pack of G2, Legacy and FaZe, who have been resurgent in the last few months. This is a fun event with many of the tier 2 and tier 1.5 teams, as well as a complete wildcard in 5star, who are 118th in the VRS rankings.

G2 v Astralis is the pick of opening games starting Tuesday morning (first games at 5AM CEST, but that one is at 2PM) while PARIVISION and TYLOO duel to face the winner of FURIA and GamerLegion in what could make for a very fun upper bracket game.

Dota 2

The competitive landscape is still reshifting and reeling from The International so not much is happening just yet. Expect things to pick up next week once PGL Wallachia S9 starts on the 17th. After that, there will be now slowing down!

Qualifiers

RES Unchained 6: BLAST SLAM IX qualifiers for Europe and Southeast Asia are kicking off this week starting with open qualifiers, followed by closed affairs. Two teams from Europe and one from SEA will claim spots at BLAST SLAM IX at the end of November. No teams for the closed qualifiers are confirmed at the moment. China will have one slot, but their qualifiers don't begin until next weekend.

Regional Affairs

Local and regional fans very little treats on the menu this week.

Europe

EPL Masters II began August 30th. There are 16 European teams competing for a slice of the $100,000 prize pool. MOUZ, NAVI, and HULIGANI have been invited directly to the playoff seed that will begin starting today, Monday, September 7th. Power Rangers were able to secure a spot in the playoffs.

Southeast Asia

EPL World SEA S17 began on September 1st with eight invited regional teams competing for the lion's share of $10,000. Team Nemesis is leading the pack with a 4:0 series (8:1 game) record so far. The event will wrap up on September 15th.

South America

El Coliseo de Benjaz 2 showmatch is an online/offline event in Peru featuring sixteen teams competing for almost $30,000USD. The teams are stacks of various veteran and new players. Things kicked off on September 3rd with the Swiss Style Format and will move to playoffs on September 10th.
