Get rdy: Competitive guide for September 14-20th
A new week is upon us and that means events and competitive matches will be gearing up or winding down. With this season's packed schedule it is easy to miss something, so we've compiled a weekly planning guide to keep track of what is going on.
League of Legends
The LCK 2026 season concluded this past weekend with Gen.G securing victory over Hanwha Life Esports to lock in their sixth regional title in four years. With the four teams representing South Korea at Worlds locked in (DPlus, T1, HLE, and Gen.G) the LCK’s best and brightest’s attention can focus on a brief break before the start of the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya.
The LEC enters its final week of the season with Karmine Corp in the hunt for its first title.
The LCS playoffs continue this week with LYND facing off against Cloud9, Team Liquid challenging FlyQuest, and Shopify Rebellion and Sentinels battling for survival.
Anyone’s Legend wrapped up the LPL Split 3 finals as champion, defeating Bilibili Gaming in the grand final. The Demacia Cup Global Invitational is now all that remains for Chinese teams that didn’t manage to make Worlds 2023

Counter-Strike 2
FISSURE Playground
FISSURE Playground finished yesterday, with - predictably, given its location in China - Legacy taking down G2 in the grand final 3-0. We're still utterly baffled by this team, but our opinions don't matter nearly as much as the silverware in their growing trophy cabinet.
StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026
If you're already missing your fix of Counter-Strike, never fear - you're only ever a few days away from the next event. StarLadder StarSeries starts on Thursday, with seven of the best teams in the world, and NRG. No shade. Okay, a little shade.
No Spirit, no Falcons, no Legacy, but MOUZ, Vitality and FURIA are all there looking for a much-needed pick-me-up trophy. Our money is on MOUZ, who have looked by far the best team of the three of late, and also seem like they care a bit more about this part of the season.
Who knows? Maybe Aurora finally do something. We doubt it.

Dota 2
PGL Wallachia Season 9
The ninth iteration of the famed studio event will take place starting on Thursday, September 17th and conclude on the 27th. Sixteen teams will compete for the lion's share of the $1,000,000 prize pool as the first big event following The International. As all teams are directly invited to PGL Wallachia S9, it will give fans a glimpse of the new rosters post TI and the first chance to teams to start stacking their aura points for the new season.
While it is just merely days away, no teams have been announced yet and the roster shuffles have been painfully quiet so far. Probably because it has only been less than three weeks since Team Spirit raised the Aegis of Champions in Shanghai, China.
Qualifiers
BLAST SLAM IX China open qualifiers will take place on September 16 and 17th, with the closed qualifiers happening immediately after on the 18 and 19th. China has only one slot for BLAST SLAM IX at the end of November.
Regional Affairs
Local and regional fans very little treats on the menu this week.

EPL Season 40
Southeast Asia
EPL World SEA S17 began on September 1st with eight invited regional teams competing for the lion's share of $10,000. Team Nemesis is leading the pack with a 4:0 series (8:1 game) record so far. The event will wrap up on September 15th.
