Team Falcons step away from Dota 2

Team Falcons arrived in Dota 2 late into 2023 and quickly became a talking point for many. With a roster featuring two winners of The International, Falcons soared to new heights. However, 2026 was not their year, with many mediocre performances, albeit between some highlight worthy showings.

Unfortunately, following multiple rumours forming recently, Falcons has now called it quits on their time in Dota 2.

Team Falcons soar no more

Three years in Dota 2 may not feel like a long time, but for Falcons, they managed to conquer almost everything on offer. From multiple DreamLeague victories to a second-place finish at the Esports World Cup in 2025, and third place at the Riyadh Masters 2024, the team’s crowning glory was their lifting of the Aegis of Champions at The International in 2025. Various Tier 1 victories mark this team as one of the all-time Dota 2 greats.

But their time together under the Falcons banner has come to an end.

Although the players might remain actively professionally, Team Falcons, as an organisation, has announced that they will be stepping away from Dota 2, leaving the roster without an official home.

While the organisation is now gone, their name is forever etched into the Dota 2 history books, along with the players and their coach, Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling, who retired shortly after TI 2026.

With the roster shuffle still in full swing, there is no telling where these talented players may end up. At the current time of writing, no further details have been given, but it is possible that we continue to see them playing together or on different squads for the next season.
