Nothing is ever stagnant or dull when it comes to the Dota 2 scene. Amidst the drama, tournaments, patches, and roster swaps, more happens that don't always make the headlines.
Last week there were a few roster shuffles, tournament announcements, qualifiers and events as well as some spicy Latin drama for extra flavor.
This is a bit of what happened in the last week that might have gotten missed.

Tournaments
BLAST Slam VI

Direct invites to the tournament will be given to the top 4 teams from BLAST Slam IV, which is currently on pause and will resume with the Playoffs from November 7-9th in Singapore. BLAST Slam V will take place in China November 25- December 7th.
PGL Wallachia Season 6
Xtreme Gaming will debut their new roster at PGL Wallachia Season 6 as they will replace Aurora Gaming at the event. There is no confirmed information about why Aurora has withdrawn, but a late roster shuffle with a 5th–6th place finish at FISSURE Universe Episode 7 yields to speculation that their lineup is not fully cemented.
DreamLeague Season 27
Four more teams have cemented their spot for DreamLeague Season 27 —Team Yandex, 1Win, Pipaqueak+4 and Passion UA— from Division 2 Season 1. Yandex secured first place with a 3:0 sweep over 1Win on Sunday. There is still one more team to be determined from Division 2 Season 2.
In addition, ESL announced that Flipster TALON will not be able to participate in DreamLeague Season 27. The team Aureus, the next top team from SEA, will take their place.
DreamLeague Season 27 is set to be the first tournament of ESL Pro Tour 2025/2026 Season. It is expected to take place December 10th-21st with 24 teams competing for their share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.
Drama
If the old adage "No publicity is bad publicity" is true, then Peruvian Dota is at the top of their game.
In the last week the region has been in the spotlight for more of its 'eyebrow raising' news.
Benjaz
Benjamin "Benjaz" Lanao and his new full Peruvian squad, Team Cobra made headlines when it was revealed that they were being supported by a controversial $1 million challenge from betting company 1XBET. By seamlessly integrating a betting sponsor 1XBET and Team Cobra are normalizing gambling for an impressionable demographic in an already region ripe with matchfixing and gambling woes.
Spoiler alert: Over the weekend Team Cobra was eliminated from FISSURE after a 2:0 loss ot ViCi Gaming.
Parker
This was on the heels of carry player David “Parker” Nicho Flores being removed from Peru Rejects for a series of internal conflicts and erratic behavior.
Stinger vs Pakazs
But perhaps the most bizarre and hot drama coming in from the region is about ... baby daddy's?
The drama surrounding Steven "Stinger" Vargas and Crhistian "Pakazs" Savina stems from confirmation that Stinger was not the father of his seven-month-old daughter. Pakazs is. And this all unfolded on national tabloid TV.
