All rdy: Your weekly recap of February 23rd-March 1st
Nothing is ever stagnant or dull when it comes to the esports scene. Amidst the constant swirl of drama, tournaments, patches, and roster swaps, there’s always something unfolding behind the stage. From surprise upsets and standout performances to off-stage hiccups, each week brings a fresh mix of chaos and exctiment to our favorite (and often times most hated) games.
Counter-Strike 2

Tournaments
ESL Pro League Season 23: Online Stage
One man’s zenith is another man’s nadir; as Passion UA celebrated a first win with Senzu and intrigue and hype for this team hit a peak, hopes for Liquid hit an all-time low. Maybe not an all-time low, actually, as this team has made a habit of hitting rock bottom, but for this roster specifically we couldn’t be more disinterested now. NIP, similarly, are starting to wind us up, as they lost to Legacy in a game - and manner - that you just can’t afford to do as a top team.
100T are catching up, and quickly, and they started from the bottom. They’ll be caught by FOKUS soon, too, who didn’t exist three weeks ago, but qualified for PGL Bucharest via the open qualifier beating Inner Circle twice, BetBoom and EYEBALLERS. We’re invested.
Dota 2

Tournaments
DreamLeague Season 28
After almost two weeks of intense Dota 2 action, DreamLeague Season 28 came to a thrilling conclusion with a grand final between Aurora and Tundra Esport. Tundra ultimately claimed the title after a 3:1 series.
PGL Wallachia Season 7
Power Rangers have officially withdrawn from PGL Wallachia Season 7, with visa issues widely believed to be the deciding factor. ViCi Gaming will take their place.
Incidently, Team Falcons will also be playing with Artem "lorenof" Melnyk instead of Stanislav "Malr1ne" Potorak for the same reason.
PGL Wallachia Season 7 takes place March 7–15th at the PGL Studios in Bucharest, Romania. A total of 16 teams will battle on LAN for their share of the $1,000,000 prize pool
Teams and Players
paiN Gaming
David “Parker” Nicho Flores is officially out of paiN Gaming. The decision comes after Parker was benched during DreamLeague Season 28 after just two series in which the team suffered back-to-back 0–2 losses. This follows a familiar pattern in Parker’s career. Despite widely being regarded as one of the most mechanically gifted carries in the region, he has previously parted ways with teams amid reports of internal conflicts and disciplinary issues.
Máximo "Wits" Orozco Alza has been recruited to take his place.
Nigma Galaxy
Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan and Nigma Galaxy have parted ways. SumaiL has played for Nigma Galaxy since May 2022. His best result with the team was a 5th-6th place finish at The International 2025.
There is no indication of where he will go next (if anywhere at all) or who will take his place in the lineup.
Rumors and Drama
New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a lawsuit against Valve Corporation claiming that Valve has made "billions of dollars" through slot machine-like mechanics that target minors.
The lawsuit alleges that Valve enables players to monetise their winnings through two channels: the company's own Steam Community Market, where proceeds can be used to purchase other games and hardware, and third-party marketplaces where items can be sold directly for cash.
Valve has not yet issued a public response to the lawsuit.
