zweih gets his revenge as Spirit crumble - BLAST Bounty playoffs day two
zweih enacted the perfect revenge over Spirit as PARIVISION came from a map down to knock out one of the favourites for the trophy.
While zweih himself was relatively quiet, it was the experience of leader Jame that really helped drive PARIVISION forward, showing Spirit maybe what they're missing out on by having magixx IGL. We're not saying Jame should have gone to Spirit if they wanted to win more trophies, but we're also not not saying it.
Unusually for PARIVISION, things went horribly wrong on Overpass - a map that Jame has always excelled on, and has been a pillar of strength for the team. They got tonked 13-5 on map one, with tN1R going crazy, but ground out an ugly win on Mirage before a remarkably comfortable win on Ancient.
It was classic Jame - hard to beat, grindy, intelligent Counter-Strike against a team who just want to fight you.
In the first semi-final, it was business as usual for Team Vitality, who were, in fairness, pushed pretty hard by GamerLegion, but found a way to win as they so often do.
When the highest rated player on map one goes 11-10, you know it's been attritional. ropz took the top spot on the leaderboard, but it's not one he'll be telling the grandkids about. Inferno can be like that sometimes, and you just have to get the kills that matter sometimes, which he did.
Dust 2 was a bit more normal, with ZywOo and REZ going head-to-head for top spot. ZywOo was as reliable as ever, while REZ was explosive and tried to drag his team to at least overtime. We have seen this REZ a lot more since joining GamerLegion, but you're always left with the feeling that if he did this consistently he could be one of the best players in the world.
Vitality just about took round 24 to secure an expected 2-0, but they were pushed a lot closer than they ever would have wanted.
