Perhaps unsurprisingly, Spirit absolutely smashed the second stage.

A lightning fast 2-0 - bringing Spirit's round loss total up to a massive nine in four maps - took them straight into the third stage over 9z.

donk, too, continued his absolutely staggering form with a 48-16 scoreline - a 3 K/D - to sink the hopeful South Americans in one of the quickest 2-0's you will ever see.

There's basically nothing else to say. donk ends the stage with a 2.27(!) rating. Insane.

TYLOO smashed a shellshocked Astralis as chaos won out over control.

Astralis' one big weakness has largely been their firepower, and that was very apparent here as they could not live with the Chinese riflers even on a traditionally tactical map, in Nuke.

JamYoung has too often been out alone at the top of the scoreboard, but he had Mercury and Zero to count on today in the win over Astralis.

TYLOO will be joined in the 2-1 stage by Monte, who bounced back from yesterday's heartbreak to nudge past Legacy in a statement map win. arT was once again fantastic in this one, but not as good as AZUWU. Wild.

BIG and BetBoom also climbed into the 2-1 bracket, with the former seeing blameF carry a game (quelle surprise) against MIBR, who have been remarkably underwhelming. BetBoom annihilated M80 13-2, which is a far bigger margin than expected, given how solid M80 have been.

GamerLegion went 0-3, which is a pretty horrendous result for them. They ran B8 pretty damn close, but it was too little too late after a horrible first day. FlyQuest also ended up going home early by losing to paiN, but that one is a little less surprising.

FUT powered through their 3-0 match against G2, in what started as a very compelling series and ended with a blowout. Two of the most picked 3-0 teams clashed in one of the highest quality matches we've seen so far. But Supercomputer believers can rejoice.

Your pick'ems are safe, ish.

Tomorrow will see Astralis take on paiN to crown the second biggest under-achiever for this stage (next to GamerLegion); G2 take on BIG in what should be an extremely one-sided affair; TYLOO, the remaining hope for Asian CS, face 9z for a qualification spot; Monte challenge a red-hot BetBoom; MIBR clash with B8 in a stage-one derby; and finally, a limping Legacy struggle to survive against a very unpredictable M80.
