NRG to play without nitr0 in Budapest

NRG have confirmed that nitr0 is set to miss the Major due to the birth of his child.

As excuses go, few are more reasonable than that one, even if the timing is extremely unfortunate for NRG. They've forced their way into the Major with a spectacular run of form in domestic competition, and we were excited to see them play against international competition.

Not only that, it's completely ruined the 'Who are they?' article we wrote about them.

Very selfish, nitr0.

We wish him the best of luck - some things, albeit very few, are bigger than the CS2 Major. It does mean NRG will be playing with daps, who is no stranger to playing at the Major, but that was a long time ago.

daps is, in case you were unaware, the coach of this team, but was one of the better IGLs in North America for a long time before his retirement. He's as good a coach step-in to IGL as you can hope in the region. and hopefully we don't see a massive drop-off team-wide due to this.

You might want to change your pick-ems, though.

NRG kick off their Major campaign against NIP, which now seems like a monumental task.
