NAVI and GamerLegion enter the IEM Atlanta final
BetBoom missed a golden opportunity to go up 1-0 on Ancient and lived to regret it.
BB had multiple chances to win the first half by a bigger margin than 7-5, as they seemed to find flank after flank and managed to not win rounds they were heavily favoured in. zorte, who had a stellar first half, made a crucial mistake in round 9 that could have broken the NAVI economy and probably got them a 9-3 or 10-2 half, and makazze won a 1v2 with a MAC-10 one round later.
Both teams looked lost on their T sides, but NAVI were just a bit more clinical in those important rounds and eventually closed out Ancient with relative ease, but it felt like a big missed chance for BetBoom, and you don't get loads of them against top tier opposition.
Nuke was, unfortunately for them and predictably for us, where NAVI's class really shined through and put the game to bed quickly and quietly. BetBoom were never really in this map, and it's a shame we never got to see what might have happened on Dust 2 had we got there.

Brazil-slayers GamerLegion were not content with just ruining paiN's day, but Legacy's too.
Since bringing back Snax, GL do seem like a threatening team again against all odds, but this is a whole new level. While it's not the best teams in the world they've beaten here, being the best of the rest is one hell of a flex.
REZ always seems to have one stand-out map in these games, and this time it was on the deciding map. He put Legacy to the sword on Inferno with multiple massive rounds and well over 100 ADR, while poor arT flailed.
Legacy's map win on Mirage was an absolute blowout - 13-3, with dumau putting the hurt on GL - but they failed to show up in the other two, not dissimilarly to paiN in the quarter-final.
GamerLegion, you have our attention - but today's final is a whole different beast.
