MOUZ qualify for playoffs over Spirit on day four of PGL Masters Bucharest

MOUZ came back from an 0-1 deficit to topple Spirit despite a 2-13 loss on the first map.
sh1ro, donk and zont1x all had over 100 ADR on Nuke as Spirit completely owned the nuclear plant and made MOUZ personae non grata on both sites. sh1ro especially had a phenomenal map, but you couldn't find a Spirit player who didn't. It was complete domination.
But it's better to win two close maps, than one blowout map; and that is what MOUZ did.
Well, closer at least in the case of Dust 2. xertioN went insane down the stretch to close map two out 13-8 in favour of MOUZ, finding massive impact with opening kills and multikills to get them into the sites that are notoriously hard to retake. A double entry on Dust 2 T side is a won round nearly every single time.
Were it not for him, this might have been a much closer game, but he ensured that Dust 2 was a relatively simple win - and all of a sudden, that 2-13 loss was nullified, and it all came down to Mirage.
donk did not deserve to lose this game.
Of Spirit's 96 kills, donk had 35 - which is 36.5%. He had 123 ADR, 12 (!) multikills in 30 rounds and 25 headshot kills - more than anyone else had kills. The fact he lost this map is an absolute travesty.
He hit a lovely ace to get Spirit their 4th, and that was pretty much what he had to do. Nobody else was showing up, and MOUZ through the power of friendship were able to defeat the one man army - albeit in 30 rounds.
torzsi was probably the pick of the bunch, and his 1v3 to go 5-1 up was a wonderful sequence. He had a very solid map when his team needed him the most, but even in a loss, donk was the best player in the server by a mile. He must be gutted.
NAVI's hot start to the tournament appears to be petering out, as they were stomped out by a rampant Vitality and now face Spirit for qualification.
Inferno was another 13-2 win, and it was actually mezii who caught the eye on that map. The Englishman put up some crazy numbers, though again, when you win by eleven rounds it's rarely just one player having a good game. The whole Vitality team farmed.
b1t was the lone holdout, but he couldn't stop the rising tide for long.
mezii continued to have impact on Dust 2, but ZywOo will take the plaudits, as ever, for shutting down NAVI absolutely on their T side. That's a literal use of the word absolutely. NAVI were up 9-3 at the half, but failed to collect a single T side round.
In those 10 rounds in a row, ZywOo got the opening kill in six rounds and a multikill in six rounds. That's just wild. mezii ended the game in style with a 1v2 retake, but realistically it felt like Vitality would have just won a round later anyway. ZywOo was just everywhere. NAVI will see him in their dreams tonight.
FURIA obliterated TYLOO 13-5 13-2 in maybe the least competitive game we've seen all year. zhokiNg had five kills over two maps. No more analysis is needed.
Legacy's downwards spiral appears to be real, with The MongolZ dispatching them quite comfortably in two. The MongolZ have always been Brazilian killers, but Legacy were a top eight team not long ago and this is a desperately disappointing result.
Aurora moved into playoffs with a 2-1 win over Liquid, which is a better result than it would have seemed a few weeks ago. Jimpphat was the standout again in a very competitive game with three close maps, with every player playing their part to make an enjoyable game of Counter-Strike. We can't believe we're saying this, but we really want to see Liquid in the playoffs - they have been a pleasure to watch.
Nemiga stayed alive over DENDELE in a dominant 2-0 win. We have a sneaky suspicion that Nemiga might be pretty good, but so far they've only beaten a flailing Legacy and a weak-ish DENDELE. We're hoping The MongolZ will give them a real test.
