The most exciting game of the Major - Team Spirit vs Team Falcons

Team Spirit vs Team Falcons in a Major quarter-final is the sort of game you dream about watching.

Maybe we’re just weird.

This is a game between some of the finest fraggers in the world, highlight machines going toe-to-toe trying to one-up each other and all with massive stakes to chase. m0NESY vs sh1ro is tasty enough, but kyousuke vs donk is a narrative monster with the watchability to match.

This might not be the best game of the Major, but it might be the one that we’re most excited to watch. The sheer talent coursing through both of these teams makes this a must-watch and you would be a damned fool to miss it.

Spirit come in off the back of a 3-0 group stage with donk putting up some of the craziest numbers you’ll ever see. He’s averaging over a kill per round (1.07), a multi-kill every four rounds, 111.9 damage per round and an opening kill nearly every four rounds (0.23 per round). Those are astounding numbers, and he is far and away the best player at the event, as he so often is.

For Falcons, it’s been less dominant and got really hairy against G2, but the star power of kyousuke got them to a decent position and the magic of m0NESY pushed them over the edge. He pulled out all the stops with noscopes through smokes, full blind flicks, jumping noscopes and any other piece of nonsense you can imagine. Falcons have an absurd amount of talent and they can win any game - but are any of them better than donk?

Traditionally, sort of - donk has always struggled against NiKo, but this is an even more wild version of him than we’ve seen before, which is crazy to think about. This feels like a watershed moment as to whether or not he can overcome his demons and finally smash NiKo as he beats everyone else.

We wouldn’t bet against him.
