kyousuke and m0NESY push Falcons past Legacy - BLAST Open Porto recap

Falcons' Russian teenagers continue to blow teams out of the water as they dropped a combined 106 to sink a plucky Legacy.

m0NESY stood tall on all three maps while kyousuke was a massive factor in both of Falcons map wins. Both were electric on the decider, Dust 2, while kyousuke was incredible on Mirage and m0NESY the lone holdout on Ancient.

Both of Falcons' map wins were one-sided and that was down to kyousuke - when his aggression works, and it so often does, he just rips through teams so quickly and confidently. He was absolutely unplayable at times, and even if you managed to stop him, m0NESY was lurking behind to clean up the mess. It's an outrageous duo.

Legacy are not quite at the level yet, and the gulf in firepower was so apparent today. They're a very dangerous team who are very tricky to beat, but catch them in a dogfight with the talent Falcons have, and it's only going one way.

A big win for Falcons, given they'd lost to Legacy last time out.

FUT recovered from a shock opening map loss to Lynn Vision to clean up and win comfortably in the end.

Starry had an unbelievable game and did not deserve to lose, putting up 60 kills over the three maps (ten more than anyone else in the server), but still had to watch as his teammates crumbled after an impressive Dust 2 win.

Krabeni led by example with another stellar performance, with his teammates taking turns to support him at the top of the charts. Anubis was a simple 13-3 (where Starry somehow went positive), and Ancient a clean 13-7 (ditto), as FUT eventually cruised past a Lynn Vision who will feel they could have done so much more.

Starry, at least, will be screwing.

Inner Circle came crashing down to Earth as the Israeli duo of MOUZ absolutely slaughtered them.

No IC player mustered up 20 kills, while Spinx and xertioN picked up a combined 71. IC managed 84 in the whole series.

This was as one-sided a game as you'll ever see at a top tournament, and if anything makes you more worried for Vitality, because MOUZ just simply destroyed them.

Vitality did however bounce back with an expected win over 9z, though it was the manner of the win that must excite them. This was absolutely ruthless, with jL stepping up from the stand-in spot to go absolutely bonkers. He went 21-6 in 15 rounds on Dust 2 as Vitality made this win seem much more pedestrian than anyone expected.
