Senzu’s move to BC.Game has captured our imagination, because it’s both out there and sort of really exciting, in a weird way.
Senzu was one of the best players in the world last year and propelled The MongolZ to previously unseen heights, while s1mple… we don’t need to tell you about s1mple. On paper, this is an extremely interesting and exciting core to build around, and BC.Game appear to be serious about finishing the job.
But how does Senzu fit into what BC.Game have, and what do they need?
First of all, Senzu is still good.

He ranks 4th in our ratings of star riflers, three places above electroNic, which might come as something of a surprise and perhaps a worry - why sign Senzu as a star rifler if electroNic is already performing?
Despite having the same overarching role title, they do play quite different roles on both sides of the game.

In fact, our roster simulator has Senzu as a much better fit for MUTiRiS’ roles than electroNic’s, which doesn’t bode well for the outgoing IGL. He put himself in fragging spots and just… didn’t frag.
It shouldn’t surprise you to learn that Senzu wins a lot more duels than MUTiRiS and aragornN, while he will take up three of their positions on the CT side directly. As strict upgrades go, that’s a pretty giant one. He has a +130.7% duel swing change over aragornN, and a monumental +186% over MUTiRiS. On Inferno, Anubis and Nuke, they can plug Senzu into his own spots and watch him fly.
He might not get B rotator on Dust 2 as that’s electroNic’s spot, but he can probably take whatever roles he wants off krazy.
The T side is where things get a bit weird. Somehow, Senzu rates highly on both entrying and trading, suggesting he’s a very aggressive piece who usually has a buddy system. There’s nobody quite like him on the BC.Game side, which can suggest a sort of disjointed system or that quite simply, the guy trying to trade wasn’t great. He does as much entrying as aragornN but as much trading as s1mple. If you get him an entry partner, he could revolutionise their T sides by being aragornN but good and krazy but good at the same time.
electroNic is the closest thing in terms of wanting to be in second, but he lurks a lot more than Senzu.

Speaking of which, krazy may have to take a step back in terms of resources and throw some more utility. Senzu is likely to pull rank and keep his current rate of usage, rightfully so, and krazy may have to fade into the background into a more supportive role. It seems like a matter of time before he is replaced, in truth.
In terms of what BC.Game need, the answer is quite obviously an IGL - but specifically, a low resource IGL on the defense. MUTiRiS wanted and got way too many good spots on CT side, and BC.Game don’t want or need that. Senzu, s1mple and maybe electroNic is a lot of firepower for the level they’re at, and they just need a guy to point them in the right direction.
kyxsan is on the market, and an immediate upgrade. Not only does he anchor on pretty much every map (the only overlapping spot with MUTiRiS is B Anchor on Inferno, which Senzu doesn’t want anyway), but he’s similar enough on T side to not mess up the balance. Falcons wasn’t the best audition for him by the end, and they had their ups and downs, but his time at Apeks was encouraging and he’s a strict upgrade on MUTiRiS.
Brollan would be an upgrade too for similar reasons, with the added bonus of being more of an entry guy who could team up with Senzu and let him trade. Questions exist around his actual leading, but he’d improve this team overnight.
After that, they’d likely want a ‘real’ support player to replace krazy, who is probably treading water on this team. Finding the right one now is tough for two reasons; we’re unsure of how the roles will look with Senzu and most of the good players will become available after the Major cycle. If you added kyxsan, you’d probably need a more sacrificial support player who is willing to go in first. With no knowledge of who is available it’s tough, but something about Maden seems to make sense.
If he’s still up for it.
Fellow rdy.gg writer LuzRaposa suggests they need a true lurker, but it seems like electroNic is morphing into that, so for the rest of us, we'd be happy to see him continue and let Senzu shine a bit more in the pack.
In conclusion, this is a real coup for BC.Game and a phenomenal piece to build on. He’s a massive upgrade on the two outgoing players without being too much of a black hole that warps everyone else’s roles around him. He’s undoubtedly going to make this team better, and all they need now is to sort out the ‘back-end’ of the team and move electroNic into a more defined lurker role.
They’re building something.
