Get rdy: Competitive guide for August 10-16th
A new week is upon us and that means events and competitive matches will be gearing up or winding down. With this season's packed schedule it is easy to miss something, so we've compiled a weekly planning guide to keep track of what is going on.
League of Legends
T1’s time at the top of the table was short lived after a surprise substitution and subsequent loss this past week to MSI champs Hanwha Life Esports. Meanwhile with ongoing behind the scenes turmoil, the team celebrates the release of its new T1 Stars single today (Aug. 10) and the T1 Home Ground event (Aug. 14-16), a major road show event held Seoul's KSPO Dome with a 15,000 capacity crowd.
This coming week, the team will have to maintain their top spot as more reports about the team’s behind the scenes situation emerge.
Karmine Corp is the first team to lock in its Playoff spot with an undefeated 6-0 record. As the French team parlayed a solid international split in July into domestic success, they’re still in the hunt for their first ever LEC title.
Last split’s undefeated regular season team Cloud9 has struggled this split in the wake of LYON and Team Liquid team that have seemingly learnt a lot from their brief international trips this summer. With Worlds looming, who will be NA’s representative?
League Classic
Just under two weeks into League Classic and Riot is gearing up for a new ARAM classic feature to add new life into the throwback mode. Has classic floundered or is the best next left to come for LoL Classic?

Counter-Strike 2
EWC
EWC is in full swing this week.
After a very nostalgic open qualifier that saw 64 teams compete on LAN for four spots, and the likes of BC.Game get eliminated, we're finally getting to the good stuff.
Starting on Wednesday, EWC is going to have a killer schedule with all four groups kicking off all their games at 12:00 CEST. Once those have their winner, the schedule will repeat itself on Thursday and Friday until the groups are over and the round of 16 begins.
Strap in, because there's going to be no shortage of CS.

Dota 2
The International 2026
The International 2026's road to the Aegis starts on Thursday, August 13th with 16 teams competing in the biggest tournament of the year. The action kicks off with the group stage from August 13-16th:
Swiss-system of sixteen teams
- All matches are Bo3
- Top three teams advance to playoffs
- 4th to 13th place teams proceed to an elimination round
- Remaining teams are eliminated
Elimination Round
- Five teams advance to playoffs
- Remaining teams are eliminated

Local and regional fans have some treats on the menu this week.
Europe
EPL Masters I: began July 26th. There are 16 European teams competing for a slice of the $100,000 prize pool. MOUZ, Rune Eaters, Power Rangers and NAVI are still in contention and aiming for the trophy, to be determined in a best-of-three grand finals on August 12th.
Southeast Asia
Lunar Horse Trophy 8 began on Sunday, July 19th and will continue through the August 6th. It features eight regional teams competing online for $15,000.
