degster has recently made it very clear he's looking to get back into pro CS, and personally we'd love to see it.
That begs the obvious question, though; where could he possibly go, and where should he go?
Thankfully, we have answers. Aren't we great?

degster is a player who requires a lot from his teammates in order to succeed. He's a bona fide star player in terms of quality, but he demands resources and space to make it work. When you play for him, he delivers, though. He's sort of like an AWPing blameF in that sense.
Do you know who else gets that treatment, and does nothing with it?
broky is routinely the player who gets the most trade kill opportunities in the world, albeit that was under karrigan's system. He's extremely passive, given the AWP as often as possible, and given loads of power in the round to affect things. He just doesn't, all that much.
degster will. You give him the princess treatment that broky gets, and he won't miss as many shots. He's never been a massive trade fragger stylistically, but he has the ability to do it and knowing he's being played for, he'll be happy.
Also, Twistzz found ultimate for Liquid who is super aggressive, and so if he wants an AWPer who can take duels earlier in the round, degster is very good at that too. He's better than broky at both sides of the game.

Team Liquid
He's better than ultimate.
Anyway, next team.
We joke, we joke. On paper this is an astronomical upgrade, and we don't need degster's data in the system to know that. We've seen him do what ultimate does to bad teams, to good teams. We've all seen it. ultimate is simply not a tier one AWPer, and degster is.
Liquid feel like they need a talisman right now, because EliGE is trying his damnedest and getting nowhere, and while malbsMd has been excellent in his roles, he's being let down hard by his teammates. Liquid need a guiding light, a guy to build around who will deliver when they need it.
degster can be that guy.
He isn't perfect, and he wouldn't fit every team, but they need someone who can grab a game by the scruff of the neck and bend it to his will. As an in-server fit, it's perfect.
Now, as to whether or not he would have issues outside of the server, we can't be sure. But he wouldn't be the first to have such personality clashes on that team, and degster is known to be a bit... tough to work with sometimes.

FUT
Now we'll be honest. This could be a disaster. It really could.
There's one player on FUT who is just clearly worse than the others. cmtry is an okay player on a very good team, and if you're looking to upgrade he's the obvious choice. His role isn't the simplest as it's quite a structured team, but he's still underperfoming on Duel Swing and Round Swing as it stands.
degster would likely be a better individual player, but a tougher fit on this team. This would be a very high risk move as you risk messing with the atmosphere of a team that has stuck together and grown together, as well as plugging degster into a role that maybe he doesn't quite suit.
But, the reward could be crazy. If he lands well, this is a team that can challenge for S-tier trophies, and be a genuine contender for the top three.
It's a wild risk with potential massive upside. We're not sure we would do it, but we would like to see it.

Passion UA
try is, by no means, the biggest problem on this team. He's fine. A middle of the round kind of AWPer right now. The data suggests JT is a big problem as a fragger, and predictably, that nicx and kvem are struggling.
The problem is that replacing JT is unlikely as he's the IGL and one they clearly believe in, nicx is a support player and finding a top quality one is hard (and would lose the NA roots of the team), and Kvem is the last UA in Passion UA. You could definitely change any of those, of course, but we're not writing that article.
When the back end is struggling so much, you need a superstar to drag them up. Senzu was sort of doing that (he ranks as one of the best Star Players in our ranking), but with his departure they need a new, self-confident, give me the ball and I'll score kinda guy.
That's degster.
You won't find a rifler as good as Senzu for this team, it's impossible. They just won't join. You can, though, find a similar level of player on the cheap in degster with the knowledge of his limitations. At his peak, he's also way too good for this team - but you can maybe get him now while his stock is low.
degster would improve this team overnight - but would he see the vision?

M80
This one would probably never happen for a myriad reasons, and slaxz- hasn't even been poor of late. He's actually been quite decent when M80 have played at tier one events.
It's just... he doesn't have that je ne s'ais quoi that degster has.
slaxz- never really imposes himself on the game in the way degster can, and M80 sometimes do feel a little bit like they're competing without really taking over against good teams. slaxz- can hang at the top level, but degster can dominate there.
Obviously, at his best.
Ultimately, this is a massive risk for all the same reasons as FUT, with probably a smaller upside. A fit and firing degster could maybe get M80 into the top 15 or so, but any further than that seems unlikely, and that's probably not worth the risk.
Again, we'd love to see it, though.
