FaZe scrape through as Legacy falter - Major Day Four recap
It'd be a stretch to call it a good day for FaZe, but they narrowly escaped ignominy again, which is better than the alternative.
Twistzz stepped up the plate to deliver a win on Inferno, but it was the leader who found his shooting mouse on map three with the game in the balance to take FaZe to the promised land - or, well, stage two.
Fluxo will have regrets about this game, especially given the nature in which they won map two, but ultimately the player quality of FaZe shined through in a tense match for advancement.
Stage two will be no easy feat for FaZe on this showing, though, and they seriously need to shape up.

NRG had their hearts broken as they slipped from 2-0 to 2-3 with defeat against Imperial.
The Brazilians were simply too good for NRG who struggled to get br0 firing, and he is so often the catalyst for them in their wins. It's hard to be too critical of a team who lost their IGL just days before the Major, though, and they can look back on wins against FaZe and NIP with joy and a little twinge of 'what if?'.
For Imperial, they get a chance to prove themselves against a higher tier of opposition in the next stage. So far, their wins have come against Rare Atom, The Huns and NRG, so we're not ready to get excited yet.
Legacy couldn't muscle past a resilient PARIVISION and paid the price, as Jame, as he so often does, came out on top in the long game.
Map three was an exhilarating watch with the game looking like it was done several times, but PARIVISION just figured it out quicker with BELCHONOKK coming up huge on several occasions - though in truth, you could pick anyone.
For Legacy, this is a desperately disappointing result when they would have expected a pretty clean advancement into the next stage, but ultimately it has been a successful season that they can look back on with pride.
PARIVISION move on, and looked good in the process.
