FaZe bow out in ugly fashion - PGL Cluj-Napoca

FaZe were booked an early flight home as Astralis coasted to a 2-0 win.

Possibly more worrying was that this wasn't a case of broky not showing up like it has been before (which is obviously still an issue), but instead he was pretty solid and frozen was completely missing from the server. He picked up just five kills as Astralis ran rampant in the ruins of Ancient, and was only marginally more useful on Mirage.

One of FaZe's five rounds on Ancient was a broky 1v3, just like against PARIVISION, in a round they were completely outclassed in. They simply kept throwing away any advantage they had, and looked as if they had no reps on the map, constantly getting surprised by things that a top team shouldn't.

Mirage was a bit more of a close map, with FaZe finding ways into rounds constantly, but their poor discipline and sloppy protocols let them down time and time again, which is simply not good enough for a team of their calibre.

The MongolZ recovered from a tonking on map one to deny NAVI a 3-1 finish and claim a playoffs berth for themselves.

We're not sure where they found cobrazera from or what they're feeding him, aside from Popeye's spinach, but what a player he's turning out to be. His game-winning multikill from Short on Mirage capped off a very impressive performance, as he span around sniping on-rushing terrorists like a frog killing flies.

He actually had been quite quiet on Mirage until that point, but was a driving force on Nuke to equalise the score after NAVI roasted them on Inferno, and then won the map with a crazy clip.

Worth it, we reckon.

FURIA won a long series against PARIVISION, and any time you can outlast Jame you're doing something right. He's a guy who thrives in the marathon series, but after OT on back-to-back maps, they were able to show their class and inch past a tough cookie.

molodoy was, as ever, superb, and is really making a case to cement his place as the third best player in the world. Is that insane to say?

Not with performances like that, no.

FUT put the willies up MOUZ, but after getting miles ahead on map two choked a 12-3 lead on their T side of Overpass. If you're going to choke a massive lead, that's one of the most likely halves of CS to do it on, but still...

That one ended 2-0 to MOUZ, but it was by no means a clean and simple win..

G2, as predicted, got themselves into a 2-2 game by besting a mediocre HEROIC team who desperately need to sort their roster issues out. MATYS didn't even need to show up, which is not a good sign for HEROIC.

B8 have looked much better at this event than the last, but they came up short against Aurora and left the tournament early. They at least now don't look much worse than they did with headtr1ck, which is refreshing.

Wicadia was excellent in that game, which is a prerequisite for Aurora going any further.
