A clean day of 2-0's for the big boys at BLAST Open Porto

It was easy pickings for Spirit as they coasted to a 2-0 win over G2 in what looked on paper to be a much tougher match.

It was a rare tN1R pop-off as he ended the game alongside - no prizes for guessing - donk, actually picking up one more kill than donk. That didn't stop donk having probably the highlight of the map, with a nasty ace.

G2 are a very good team but they just sometimes seem to lack that little bit of grit against a tough opponent and fold too easily against elite opposition. They struggled to really make Spirit uncomfortable, which tN1R fragging out indicates quite well.

huNter- had a pretty terrible day, but we're not sure anyone on G2 will go to bed pleased with their showing. They are capable of so much more, but sometimes you just get overpowered by donk and his friends.

M80 had their chances to win Cache and came to regret not closing it out as FURIA ran away with the game afterwards.

M80 had four map points on their CT side but failed to hold back the tide as KSCERATO, as he so often does, dragged FURIA out of a big hole and into overtime and beyond. His 32 kill haul barely tells the story of how important he was, as it felt like each and every one was a dagger, and FURIA were given lifeline after lifeline off the back of his work.

M80 seemed to run out of energy after such a deflating loss, and they once again couldn't land a glove on an ethereal KSCERATO, who glided his way to another chart-topping showing on Dust 2.

He was simply unplayable today, and made what might have been a tough game for FURIA much more simple in the end.

DENDELE once more gave a good account of themselves, but eventually fell to Aurora who picked up a much-needed win.

It was a quiet game for XANTARES, but Wicadia stepped up to fill in the gap - and he even might take woxic's job after today's AWPing performance - and their new boys showed up in spades which must give them such encouragement.

Jimpphat showed why he's so highly rated with, obviously a big game on Cache, but some quieter impressive moments on Mirage. He killed a B split by taking down the apartments arm with a well-timed push, before holding that space for Wicadia to find the time to help on B in a round that showed why he's so highly rated, even if it's for the quieter stuff.

DENDELE stayed in the game and had some chances to take Mirage, but once they let those map points slip you always felt the big boys would take over.

NAVI halted their slide with a mandatory win over paiN Gaming.

w0nderful and makazze finally hit their groove a little bit to stop the rot and give NAVI a grindy, but important, win. They almost needed a difficult win rather than a blowout to remind them they can still win when it gets tough, you feel.

paiN have really struggled to kick on from some impressive showings at times in the last few years, and their AWPer saffee continues to be a problem against the top teams. He failed to have any impact, and had he been in the game at all would probably have tipped the scales enough for paiN to win. His failings caused some structural weaknesses for paiN that they couldn't recover from, and Aleksib is too smart to not capitalise on that weakness.

A sigh of relief, rather than a celebration, for NAVI.
