BLAST Bounty Day Four Recap: DENDELE and Liquid pull off shocks

DENDELE pulled off the second of two big shocks today as they clutched their way to a win over FURIA.
They got the better of all seven clutch situations in the series to sneak past their 'big brothers' into the next round and claim the bounty.
Down the stretch, koala pulled off a mandatory 1v1 after DENDELE found an open bombsite in a 3v4 and then followed it up with a massive multikill to lock down A and force FURIA onto pistols. He's a bit of a rdy.gg favourite (at least for the writer of this piece) and he came in massive when it mattered most.
He may not have had the chance were it not for maxxkor, though, who almost single-handedly dismantled FURIA on Anubis to put DENDELE up in the series before FURIA fired back. It was an all-round superb series for the Argentinian, who got the better of his opposite number molodoy.
DENDELE still needed OT on the decider, but a crucial two piece from maxxkor followed by three more off the AWP from rdnzao put DENDELE on series point, and this time they did not falter.
We're not worried at all about FURIA because this was a freak result, in an online game, off the back of seven lost clutches. They'll be fine.
We are still excited about koala, though.
We were not enthused by the idea of Liquid vs Vitality as it had been announced they'd be playing with ultimate - but fortunately, Liquid got to play with Jorko and we got a glimpse of their future with him and JT.
The future looks bright - usual caveats apply.
Liquid masterfully handled Vitality in their opening game of the season to move on in BLAST Bounty and claim not just money, but some pride back too after a disastrous 6... 12... you know what, a long time.
The truly great news for Liquid is that EliGE looks like he's having fun again, and a happy EliGE is a dangerous, dangerous player. If Jorko is the upgrade on ultimate that he appears to be on paper, then this team could finally be the one that brings some respect back to the Liquid name.
For more breakdown of this particular game, we wrote a whole article linked below. Aren't we great?
How do The MongolZ do it every time?
DarkMeister has landed and doesn't look like a guy with seven officials to his name, instead immediately looking like he's been on this team for a year. We're not going all out on this being a great move yet, but him being one of their better players in a real game against a real team in HEROIC is very encouraging.
We're likely not looking at a guy who is completely out of his depth, which was the worry.
The MongolZ squeezed past HEROIC thanks to an elite showing from 910, who has quietly become one of the most impressive AWPers in world Counter-Strike. He might not be m0NESY tier, but he's very much in the tier below.
For HEROIC, we're left with the same feeling we always have. Complete apathy.
Kursy also had an impressive debut for 3DMAX, dragging them to a win over a tough-to-beat magic team and keeping them in a marathon Ancient map that could have seen them eliminated.
We're not massively high on 3DMAX, and this does little to change our opinion, but seeing your new player pop off has to be pretty rewarding, and maybe they can surprise us again - they've overperformed expectations plenty of times.
