BetBoom send Falcons crashing as FURIA refind their form - Thunderpick World Championship

A resurgent FURIA harked back to their halcyon days to get the better of Aurora in the semi-finals of Thunderpick World Championship.
Few expected this given FURIA's patchy form and Aurora's steady improvement, but FURIA seem to have refound their groove and just in time for the most important part of the year, too.
KSCERATO is playing out of his skin again, and he was the catalyst alongside YEKINDAR on Dust 2, with the pair going 42-18 combined, with 25 kills coming on a nine-round CT side. It was only right that it was KSCERATO who closed out the game with a triple followed by a 4k in back-to-back rounds to close out Dust 2.
Between the two they had all the aggression and mid-round playmaking they could ever need, and Aurora just couldn't live with them.
Inferno was an incredibly tight map, though, with Jimpphat and XANTARES hauling Aurora back into the game when things got dark. KSCERATO, though, continued to impress, and his triple in a 3v5 situation put FURIA in a commanding position early on.
molodoy came alive on this map, too, and found some important multikills in big rounds. His double in round 11 helped FURIA get into the bombsite and into a winning post-plant, and his double in round three helped tip the economic stakes in their favour, after Aurora had just broken the pistol round back.
Aurora are a very good team, but you always got the sense that they were keeping the seat warm for when the big boys click again; and today, FURIA clicked and showed why they are a level above.
Many instead had tipped Falcons to win the event, but they have fallen short as BetBoom comfortably dispatched them in the decider.
It all started so well, with Falcons battering BB on Anubis, where even karrigan was getting in on the fun. He joined m0NESY at the top of the scoreboard, and it was his triple entry that put Falcons on eight before the half and take the lead into the second, which was converted with aplomb.
BetBoom looked shell-shocked, and it looked for the all the world like the series was going to end pretty quickly.
BB, though, rallied largely through Magnojez, who powered the most unlikely reverse sweep through sheer force of will and talent. We've been Magnojez enjoyers for quite a while now, but this was something of a level-up.
He dropped 28 in 30 rounds to topple Falcons and force a decider, including huge multikills in the rounds that BetBoom got to 13, 14 and 16, which tells you everything about his impact. Without him, we'd be posting this article an hour ago.
Not content with just a map, though, Magnojez put up 23 in just 20 rounds to sink Falcons in the decider - a decider they barely looked alive in. At least in the second half; it was even at half time, in large parts thanks to TeSeS.
Falcons took the second pistol to go 7-6 up, then failed to win another round. Magnojez seemed to find his kill every round, with some double and triples sprinkled in from time to time. Falcons couldn't handle him, and he tore their lacklustre offence apart and put BetBoom within one series of the Thunderpick trophy.
