A rematch of the final - Team Vitality vs The MongolZ

The MongolZ have been something of a surprise for the first time in a while.

They have shocked us plenty of times before to the point it ceased to amaze and we had accepted them as one of the best teams in the world; but when Senzu was benched just weeks before the Major and his replacement was the untested controlez, we had doubts.

They have answered them, and now find themselves in the playoffs facing a Team Vitality side who are beatable - but still a formidable opponent and a huge wall to scale.

Vitality are not the same team who won everything earlier in the year, but without doubt they are an incredible team. ropz, ZywOo, flameZ and mezii is one of the most stacked quartets the game has ever seen, and in apEX they have a leader who has seen everything, played in every situation and won everything there is to win in CS.

They seem impossible to beat, but they aren’t right now; their form hasn’t been quite as electric and they are beatable by some of the other top teams - The MongoLZ did it themselves this season - but it’s a tall order for this version of Asia’s best ever team.

This is a rematch of the Shanghai Major final, but it doesn’t feel like it. What it does feel like is a huge opportunity for The MongolZ to prove themselves - yet again - and a potentially scary one for Team Vitality.

One would still expect Vitality to get it done, but this is not the full toss it looks on paper.
