The Internataiona 2025: Five players that are three-time hopefuls

There has never been a three-time winner of The International, but 2025 will see five players that are hopeful of reaching this milestone.

The International 2025 is right around the corner, and this year will see the teams returning to Germany, with Hamburg as the destination. While there are many fresh faces heading into the event, there are many players hoping to secure their first Aegis of Champions. However, this year will also see five players looking to claim their third win. This milestone is one not reached by any player or team before – so these five players have it all to play for at TI2025.

Three-time hopefuls at TI 2025

Team Spirit’s dominance in recent years have been prolific. While they struggled at TI2024, they replaced Denis "Larl" Sigitov on their roster with Alexandr “rue” Filin after the event. That leaves four players on the roster that are going in search of their third Aegis of Champions in Hamburg, Germany. After victories at TI10 and TI12, Spirit looks to be the first team to set a record as the first three-time TI champions.

The players that are three-times hopefuls from Team Spirit are:

• Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naidenov
• Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov
• Myroslav "Mira" Kolpakov
• Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk

Only one other player has a chance of becoming a three-time winner of The International. For this player, things are slightly different. Neta "33" Shapira’s wins at TI have come twice, in 2022 and 2024. However, the most interesting dynamic from 33’s wins is that they have been on two different teams. At TI2022, he helped Tundra Esports to their first win, but last year he was alongside Team Liquid as they made it to the top.

This year will see 33 returns to Tundra, as he hopes to set a new record as the first player to win TI three times, and with a different team in alternating years.

TI 2025 is merely a few days away, and for these five players, their chances at glory are monumental. But it will take a lot for them to reach the goal, and there will be multiple teams standing in their way.
