Valve confirms the replacement team for The International 2025

After Gaimin Gladiators withdrew from The International 2025, their replacement has been found in the form of Yakutou Brothers.

The International 2025 is only a few weeks away, but last week was disastrous for Gaimin Gladiators. The team, having been directly invited to the prestigious event, made the difficult decision to withdraw. With a lot of drama surrounding their decision, the team’s replacement has now been confirmed, with the Yakutou Brothers coming in as the third Chinese team at TI2025.

Yakutou Brothers enter The International 2025

Having announced last week that GG had withdrawn from TI2025, the official X account for The International posted again tonight, revealing their replacement. In the post, they merely stated that they were following up on their previous announcement, alongside the full roster for the newly invited team.

The name Yakutou Brothers may be odd to see for some, but it is quite obvious as to who the team is. Although keeping the same squad, the team changed their name away from “Yakult Brothers”. Although the team are no strangers to the hallowed lands of TI, this will be their first foray into the event together. Having formed shortly after TI2024, Yakutou Brothers will now have a tough journey ahead of them.

The full Yakutou Brothers roster for TI2025 is:

• Ye "BoBoKa" Zhibiao
• Chan "Oli" Chon Kien

Although not having the best time in the game since creation, Yakutou Brothers now have a massive chance to show off their skills at TI2025. Whether or not their will manage to make it far remains to be seen, but it will be interesting to see if they can cause some huge upsets. With two weeks left before TI2025 kicks off, and Hamburg, Germany as the destination, the team will need to quickly make their final preparations.
