16 teams, 80 players, 89 matches, but one player stands apart from the rest when it comes down to individual records registered at the Esports World Cup Dota 2 tournament.

The Esports World Cup came to a close this past weekend in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with Team Spirit lifting the trophy after one of the most dominant performances in a grand finals we got to witness in the modern days of Dota 2.

Team Spirit blazed through the tournament from start to finish with their picture perfect coordination, macro play and draft synergy. They were one game away from having a perfect 13-0 game record at EWC. Unfortunately, they missed the feat of winning the whole thing undefeated by drawing their opening series in the group stage against Xtreme Gaming. So, they finished 12-1.

Hero Challenge but with Collapse in Riyadh

Team Spirit’s offlaner Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov won the $10,000 Tournament MVP prize as he’s truly been pivotal for his team’s success in Riyadh and had outstanding performances in all Team Spirit matches. More so, Collapse holds the record for most heroes played during the event. He picked a total of 13 different heroes at EWC, meaning a different hero in each match Team Spirit played through the tournament. Notably, his team lost a game the only time Collapse played a hero outside the traditional offlane hero pool, namely Queen of Pain in the group stage opener versus Xtreme.

Collapse’s performance in Riyadh is reminiscent of his teammate Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk’s achievement at The International 2021. Back then, Team Spirit claimed their first Aegis of Champions with Yatoro completing a “Hero Challenge” by playing 14 different carry heroes through the TI10 main event.

But while Team Spirit dominated the tournament in Riyadh, their own prodigy, Alan "Satanic" Gallyamov, who is playing on loan for PARIVISION, went on a full display of his individual skill at EWC and established multiple records.

Enter Satanic

Satanic is Team Spirit’s discovery and their player. He made his debut at Yellow Submarine and played his first Tier 1 tournaments under the Spirit’s banner while Yatoro was on a break last year. However, when he came back to competitive play in January this year, the 17-year-old prodigy was taken on loan by PARIVISION.

Since then, Satanic has constantly entered the spotlight with his rather unique playstyle. He won his first championship title this year at ESL One Raleigh with PARIVISION, and added the DreamLeague Season 26 title to his belt as well. He and PARIVISION came to the Esports World Cup as the ESL Pro Tour top-ranked team with 24,745 EPT points, almost double the amount of the second-placed team on the leaderboard, BetBoom Team.

PARIVISION tournament records at Esports World Cup 2025

PARIVISION placed third at EWC, but through the 18 games played, they became the team with the most records established in Riyadh.

  • Highest GPM: Satanic - Nature’s Prophet, 1.2k
  • Highest XPM: Satanic - Doom, 1.4k
  • Most Hero Kills: Satanic - Nature Prophet, 23
  • Gold Earned: Satanic - Morphling, 57,075
  • Last Hits/min: Satanic - Nature’s Prophet, 17.93
  • Most damage to buildings: Satanic - Meepo, 29,077
  • Most courier kills by a player: 9Class - Night Stalker, 4
  • Most kills by a team in a match: 54
  • Team with widest hero pool: 40 unique heroes

It is worth mentioning that PARIVISION have also played the shortest match played at EWC, but they were on the losing side, getting bested by Team Liquid in 25 minutes.

Interestingly enough, although Team Spirit are also the kings of comebacks and the team that seems to thrive the most in the extra late game scenarios, the longest game at the Esports World Cup this year was registered in the semifinals between Tundra Esports and Team Falcons and lasted one hour, 20 minutes and 17 seconds.

At the same time, the biggest net worth comeback made by a team was registered by Xtreme Gaming, who came back from a 34,392 gold deficit to win against Execration in the elimination phase.

Nightfall, king of pings

Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko’s name has always been associated with a high number of pings on the map. For a while, he had a true rivalry in this aspect with Daryl "iceiceice" Koh. However, since icex3 has retired, Nightfall seems to be the uncontested king of this category, and Esports World Cup 2025 is another tournament where he holds the highest four values with 197, 202, 237 and 252 map pings.

HEROIC’s carry player Yuma "Yuma" Langlet might become his new rival in map pings, as he holds the next two highest values at EWC with 182 and 189 map pings.

What’s next?

From Spirit’s near-flawless run to PARIVISION’s statistical supremacy, and even Nightfall’s relentless map pings, Esports World Cup 2025 proved that while teams compete for glory, legends are forged in unforgettable moments. As the dust settles in Riyadh, the only question left is who will rise to challenge Team Spirit at The International 2025 this September in Hamburg, Germany?
