After a tough TI 2025, Tundra Esports began to make some roster changes and have now added Matthew "Ari" Walker to their roster.

The International 2025 was a rough one of for Tundra Esports, having to play with a stand-in. While the team managed to make it through to the playoffs and main event, a seventh/eighth place finish was all they could muster. Following that, they made two changes in the post-TI roster shuffle period. Remco “Crystallis” Arets and Martin “Saksa” Sazdov were both moved to inactive, with the former soon after transferring to MOUZ. Now, the team has announced the new position 4, as Matthew “Ari” Walker joins the team.

Ari takes a leap forward with Tundra

Ari is no stranger to big teams in Dota 2, having joined Team Liquid as a stand-in during PGL Wallachia Season 5. Having also made an appearance at TI 2023 alongside the now forgotten and short-lived TSM team, he has a wealth of expertise to bring forward. Now, rejoining his TSM teammate, Matthew "Whitemon" Filemon, Ari will take his spot on Tundra Esports.

Ari was the first ever British player to compete at TI, while also being one of the best Marci players on the professional level. Having recently jumped into the 16,000 MMR bracket, he will hope that he can help Tundra change what has been a fairly average 2025 so far. The team will have their first official games with Ari in just two weeks where they will be hoping to defend their BLAST Slam III title at BLAST Slam IV.

With the exit of both Saksa and Crystallis, Tundra is on the rebuild. While Ari is one part of this puzzle now in place, the team has yet to fill the vital position 1 role. We will have to wait and see who Tundra have in store to join their roster to take them through the remainder of the year and into 2026.
