Dragon Knight, Lifestealer, Abaddon and Leshrac receive much needed nerfs in the 7.38b patch.

Some of the most contested heroes at the recently concluded DreamLeague Season 25 have been impacted by the patch with Dragon Knight and Abaddon receiving the most substantial nerfs.

Dragon Knight’s Fire Dragon facet dominated the public matchmaking after the big 7.38 Wandering Waters gameplay update was deployed. The hero became first ban material in ALL games at DreamLeague after the patch was released and along with Abaddon, was one of the most contested heroes of the tournament.

Right after the competition was over at DreamLeague, patch 7.38b came online to hopefully put a stop to the madness.

Abaddon

Mephitic Shroud Facet

• Aphotic Shield duration decreased from 17s to 14s

Abilities

• Mist Coil damage/heal decreased from 100/175/250/325 to 80/150/220/290, cast range rescaled from 600/625/650/675 to 625
• Aphotic Shield duration decreased from 15s to 12s, mana cost increased from 95/110/125/140 to 110/120/130/140

Dragon Knight

Fire Dragon Facet

• AoE while in Dragon Form decreased from 175 to 100
• Wyrm’s Wrath Magic damage on attacks decreased from 10/20/30/40 to 6/12/18/24

Leshrac

• Diabolic Edict mana cost increased from 90/110/130/150 to 90/120/150/180
• Lighting Storm no longer slows attack speed

Lifestealer

Fleshfeast Facet

• Feast max HP per hero kill decreased from 25/35/45/55 to 20/25/30/35

Abilities

• Feast max HP per hero kill decreased from 15 to 10
• Infest Aghanim's Scepter no longer disarms targeted enemy hero, Aghanim's Scepter attack rate improved from 1.25s to 1s

Item updates

Both regular and neutral items received changes in the 7.38b balance patch, but most notably, Glimmer Cape is now nerfed after the item flew under the radar in the big Wandering Waters gameplay update.

Glimmer Cape

• Glimmer Bonus Movement Speed decreased from 40 to 20
• Glimmer Mana Cost increased from 90 to 125

Orb of Corrosion

• Agility bonus decreased from +8 to +7
• Corrosion Melee Movement Slow increased from 6% to 8%

Orchid Malevolence

• Mana Regen bonus decreased from +3.25 to +3
• Attack Speed bonus decreased from +40 to +35

Khanda

• Empower Spell Debuff Duration increased from 3s to 4s
• Empower Spell Cooldown decreased from 12s to 10s

Eye of Skadi

• Cold Attack Melee Movement Slow increased from 20% to 25%
• Cold Attack no longer has a separate attack speed slow value against melee targets (attack slow against melee units increased from 10% to 20%)

Additionally, the item grace period when swapping to the main inventory is now 5s instead of 3s.
