Remember to sign-up a month before to get a Worlds 2026 ticket because nothing is ever simple

Details about tickets for the League of Legends World Championships 2026, also known as Worlds 2026, have been revealed. Or at least details of how to sign-up to the pre-sign-up that allows you to queue for a ticket ahead of real general admission two days later. Simple? Not at all.

These steps are, of course, an attempt to prevent bots, scalpers, and other reprobates from cannibalizing all the tickets, but also to make Riot can get an accurate prediction on how many people actually want to see Worlds 2026 given its US location, and, perhaps most weirdly, make sure no toxic players are allowed to attend in-person, Here’s how it works.

Here’s the process to get Fan First tickets for Worlds 2026

From June 1, those with a Riot Account will be able to use the Fan First Verification system. To do so, you’ll have to head to the LoL Esports website and verify your Riot Accounts, and check your in-game behavior. Obviously, toxic players won’t be allowed to attend Worlds 2026. Well, unless you buy from general admission.

Once you’ve done this, when tickets go on sale you'll get access to a special smart queue, where you’ll have 24 hours to buy your ticket or lose the slot forever.

The signups end on June 30 and then on July 22 the Presale for the Fan First registrations will go online. Then two days later general admission purchases will be able to be made. Presumably open to all scalpers, bots, and toxic players that couldn’t get in through the Fan First mode.

While the hoops will definitely dissuade scalpers, the pre-sale will also give Riot a chance to gauge just how big the Worlds 2026 attendance will be. While Worlds is generally a sell-out event, big events in the US have had some issues this year, notably the FIFA World Cup, which has struggled to sell tickets and hotel places given the US Government’s unfortunate policies affecting visas and tourism.

It’s speculated Worlds could see a similar hit, especially given that LCS viewership is in the toilet, with recent matchups hitting just a few thousands viewers on official channels.

Regardless, if you’re still excited to head to Worlds 2026, keep your eyes peeled on the pre registration and ticket sales. For more info, check out the official Riot Games blog post.
