After several months of waiting for updates, we now have more information on the upcoming major League of Legends events, the Mid Season Invitational (MSI) 2026, and Worlds 2026, from LoL creator Riot Games.

MSI 2026 and Worlds 2026 details, venue information, and more unveiled by Riot Games

First up on the competitive LoL calendar is of course MSI 2026, which heads to Daejeon, South Korea in June. From June 28 until July 12, MSI will take over Daejeon Convention Center II, with a Play-In Stage running from June 28 until July 1 and a Bracket Stage between July 3 and July 12.

MSI 2026 will reportedly follow a similar format to 2025’s edition, with only a small change to the Play-In Stage. During Play-Ins, the event will take on a four-team double-elimination bracket, advancing a single team to the Bracket Stage. The seven remaining teams will be the number one seed from each competing region.

Ticket sails will be released in waves from April. Global tickets will start with a MasterCard-only presale from April 21, and a general release on April 23. These will require an international passport for purchase. Korean residents can purchase tickets from May 21, with a Korean social security number.

Worlds 2026 venues revealed

Riot Games also unveiled the venues for Worlds 2026. While North America was known to be the location, venue info and dates hadn’t been released until this past Sunday.

Reportedly due to logistical challenges, the Play-In stage of Worlds 2026 will have a limited audience and take place in Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles before transitioning to Allen, Texas, for the previously announced stages. This will take place between Oct. 15 and Oct. 18.

The rest of the event, the Swiss Stage, Quarter Finals, and Semifinals will take place in Credit Union of Texas Event Center (CUTX) in Allen, Texas. This will take place from Oct. 23 until Nov. 8

Worlds 2026 finalists will then jet over to New York, with the finals taking place at the iconic Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, home of the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty NBA and WNBA franchises.

Details on tickets for Worlds 2026 are currently unknown, but Riot will reportedly release more information in mid-late July.
