League streamer RATIRL recounts horror break-in as he returns to Twitch
League of Legends streamer RATIRL has recounted the story of a dramatic break-in and robbery that ended his January subathon and sent him on a four-month hiatus from streaming.
The League streamer disappeared during his January 2026 subathon, leading to speculation and investigation over his disappearance. Internet sleuths eventually found details of what was called a suspected kidnapping and robbery in Hallsberg, where RATIRL lived.
Now, returning to Stream for the first time since January, RATIRL shared details of the incident which the cool and collected League player, showing his signature deference, downplayed.

RATIRL reveals details of break-in and robbery that left him hospitalized
After disappearing during a subathon on Jan. 12, RATIRL had been on an unannounced hiatus. During a livestream earlier this week, RATIRL explained his prolonged absence
“13th at like 9am, it knocks at my door [sic], and it’s just three guys beating my dad down with guns. And I go out in my living room and there’s just a gun pointing on me [sic].”
RATIRL went on to describe an hours-long ordeal that saw him taped up, held at gun-point, tortured, and threatened. The would-be robbers seemingly demanded crypto currency, which the streamer explained he didn’t have.
The Swedish League player, who recounted the story with a casual air, that the injuries from being struck by guns and threatened with a knife paled in comparison to being taped up, which he explained affected a skin condition he had.
Both the streamer and his father escaped relatively unscathed, but RATIRL continued to elaborate that he spent some time in hospital after the attack, and then removed himself from public life while he moved house, upgraded security, and otherwise recovered.
The streamer explained that made off with around 7,000 Euros of goods and Pokémon cards, but failed to steal his Lamborghini, which was reportedly recovered by his insurance company.
And beyond that, RATIRL’s biggest regret from the horrific experience was ending his subathon prematurely:
“And through all this, the only thing I was thinking about was like ‘Bro it would be so good if this never happened and the subathon would have been so good.’ It wasn’t like ‘I could have died.’ It’s like “I’ll never know how long the subathon could have lasted.”
RATIRL has returned to streaming on Twitch. A full video recounting his story is available on his YouTube.
