Worlds 2026 format and info
The tournament begins with the Play-In stage at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles from Oct, 15-18. Due to logistical challenges, this phase will feature a limited audience. Four teams will compete in a double-elimination best-of-five bracket, with only one advancing to the main event.
From there, the competition shifts to Allen, Texas, where the majority of the event unfolds at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center. Hosting the Swiss Stage, quarterfinals, and semifinals between Oct. 23 and Nov. 8, this venue will serve as the competitive heart of Worlds 2026, drawing fans from across North America.
The tournament culminates at the Barclays Center in New York City on Nov.14.
In terms of format, Worlds 2026 largely mirrors the 2025 structure, with only minor updates to Play-Ins and regional seeding. Notably, Brazil’s CBLOL gains an additional slot, increasing representation and global diversity at the event.
