The 2026 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI 2026) will return international League of Legends competition to its heartland in South Korea, as Riot Games hosts the event in the city of Daejeon for the very first time.

Set to take place between June 28 to July 12, MSI 2026 is the midpoint of the competitive LoL season, where top teams from around the world clash in a high-stakes international showdown to see which region reigns supreme. Here's all the info we have as of March 2026:

MSI 2026 will begin with the Play-In stage, where four teams compete in a double-elimination bracket for a single spot in the main event. This updated format tightens competition early, raising the stakes for teams fighting to reach the Bracket Stage.

The main portion of the tournament unfolds in the Bracket Stage, featuring eight teams in a double-elimination format. Seven teams receive direct entry, including all regional first seeds and additional top-performing regions from earlier international competition. Matches will intensify as teams progress through upper and lower brackets, culminating in the Grand Final on July 12.

Hosted entirely at the Daejeon Convention Center II, MSI 2026 introduces a new destination for international League of Legends esports.
