KT Rolster move to 7-0 continuing historic run in LCK

KT Rolster, one of the most storied teams in Korean League of Legends, has advanced to a 7-0 record, their best in almost a decade.

The team, which has been part of the top-flight of Korean LoL since before the inception of the LCK last had a 7-0 run in LCK 2017 Spring, when the team ended the season in second place.

KT Rolster start the split 7-0 in best run since 2017

KT Rolster kicked off Week 4 of the LCK 2026 with a 2-0 victory over DRX. The team, who started out the season with an impressive defeat of reigning Worlds champions T1, and continued with dismantling of Gen.G and Nongshim, have been on an upward trajectory for weeks now.

The World Championship 2025 runners-up have arguably had an even better season start than 2025. The current streak, one of KT’s best in years, has reminded fans of both 2017, where they were consistently in second place, only to heartbreakingly miss out on Worlds, and 2018, where a similar season of performances sent them to the championship.

KT, one of the telecom giants whose rivalries have played out in the LCK for years, have often fallen shy of a big win. Their regional victories, despite their pedigree, are few and far between, with a pair of Regional Finals wins, a lone Kespa Cup victory, and a 2018 Summer Split championship ahead of Worlds 2018.

While for many teams, these would be major accolades. But for a region where half of all Worlds championship teams come from, KT has always fallen just short of international greatness, with their closest moment coming last year in Chengdu against T1.

Now it seems KT are poised for greatness. It’s early, and the season is long, but if there’s any team that can stop T1 making it four-straight at Worlds, we’d put our money on KT.
