Karmine Corp have defeated MKOI 3-0 in the lower-bracket finals of the LEC Spring 2026 Playoffs to secure their spot in the Grand Finals against G2 Esports.

The French side dominated Movistar KOI in a rematch of the LEC Roadtrip clash that had recently seen major sanctions handed down by Riot Games to both teams. But in the rematch to what had been a 2-1 win for KC only a few weeks ago, KC this time dominated their opponent, securing their finals spot - and an invite to the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational. Here’s how it went down:

KC crushes MKOI to head to LEC Spring Playoff finals and MSI

Heading into this grudge match, it wasn’t clear whether either team had a definitive edge. MKOI had crushed season leaders Team Vitality in the first round of the playoffs, while Karmine Corp had struggled against G2. Forced into the lower-bracket, KC have battled back to this finals contention.

MKOI, The Spanish organization, had themselves also found defeat at the hands of G2, albeit in a similarly competitive fashion. But today, there was simply no chance for MKOI to get a hold of KC.

Throughout the series, eventual MVP Kim "Canna" Chang-dong led the way for KC. His Rumble in game one was an absolute menace, and throughout the series, his lane dominance over Alex "Myrwn" Villarejo set a tone for the rest of the team.

But the crucial moment in the last game came from Martin "Yike" Sundelin on his Jungle Xin Zhao. Crushing Javier "Elyoya" Prades in a 1v1 matchup that Elyoya is normally more competent in, Yike showed that he’s a top calibre player and could be a crucial element in the Grand Finals tomorrow.

As mentioned, KC now head to the finals to face G2 Esports. The winner will head to MSI as a top seed for the LEC, and receive a direct invite to the Esports World Cup. Meanwhile the runner-up will have to settle for a lower seed invite to MSI.

G2 will clash with KC tomorrow, June 7, at 15:00 CEST.
