LEC third seed Karmine Corp has defeated the LCP’s MVK Esports in the final round of the Worlds 2026 Play-In to lock in their spot in the rest of the tournament.

In a 3-0 sweep of the LCP second seed, on Oct. 18, Karmine Corp continued their historic season - the best the organization has ever experienced - by breezing past some tough competition in convincing fashion.

Karmine Corp head to the Worlds Swiss Stage

KC kicked off the match with a somewhat shaky start, but closed well thanks to incredibly consistent play from Kang "kyeahoo" Yea-hoo with his Cassiopea anchoring the team. With the momentum on their side, game two was a stomp. Pure and simple.

Fighting for the tournament lives, MVK Esports came alive in the final matchup in what was a bloody, scrappy bout. But once again kyeahoo’s performance put the team on his back, with a 4/0/11 performance that humbled his opponents. KC advance in Worlds 2026 after a decisive victory.

French organization Karmine Corp have had an incredible rise over the past few years from EMEA Masters regional team in 2023, to LEC last-place in 20254, to the top-tier but shy of Worlds in 2025, and now, a true Worlds contender.

Facing the LCP’s representatives, KC looked less like a number three seed, and more true inheritors of the international legacy the likes of Fnatic and G2 Esports have created in past worlds.

And kyeahoo’s performance on the international stage has been a coming-out party for the Korean midlaner. So often watching KC it’s Caliste "Caliste" Henry-Hennebert or Martin "Yike" Sundelin who steal the spotlight, with kyeahoo seen as a safe pair of hands. This win showcased that KC’’s midlaner is more than ready to compete at this top level.
