Nasus Jungle secures victory as G2 topples KC in LEC Spring Playoff Finals
G2 Esports has defeated Karmine Corp to lift the trophy in LEC Spring Playoff finals, ending the first LEC split of 2026 in decisive fashion.
G2 defeated KC 3-2 in a series that went the distance, ultimately crushing their opponents thanks to their superstar jungler and series MVP Rudy "SkewMond" Semaan, whose Nasus Jungle pick in the final game put the final boots to KC.
G2 Esports defeats KC in LEC Spring 2026 Playoff final to secure MSI and EWC slot.
In a back-and-forth series, it seemed like KC might just upset the upper-bracket G2 Esports in a shocking turn of events. In Game One KC’s decisive play definitely made it look like the French side had a better chance.
But a 22-minute stomp in Game Two proved that G2 Esports still had plenty of fight in them. A Game Three misstep with K’sante and Nocturne put KC up one, but G2 were able to regain equilibrium with a decisive Game Four, with Steven "Hans Sama" Liv’s Sivir leading the charge.
But the defining moment of this series has to be the Game Five Nasus Jungle pick. The unorthodox but highly effective Champion is more of a soloque special, but in the hands of SkewMond it was the perfect selection.
SkewMond ended the series with a incredible 12/0/3 score having absolutely dominated all three lanes with his pathing and ganking. G2 Esports lift the trophy after five hard-fought games.
With the victory, G2 Esports have secured yet another LEC title, their 20th by most reckonings. They continue their streak as the most-successful team in European League of Legends history.
Both teams will now head to MSI and with the victory, while G2 Esports will now also join Karmine Corp and Movistar KOI at the Esports World Cup.
