Korea Post is issuing a commemorative stamp honoring Faker
Korea Post is South Korea’s postal service, and traditionally issues commemorative stamps to celebrate historically significant individuals and national milestones
Faker’s inclusion adds a groundbreaking esports dimension to this year’s lineup, making him one of the rare gaming and esports figures to receive such an honor, not just in South Korea, but across the globe.
Faker, sometimes known by his nickname, ‘The Unkillable Demon King’, is a six-time champion of the League of Legends World Championship (Worlds) and a gold medalist at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games, and recipient of the Cheongryong Medal of Sports Merit in 2026.
Since making his professional debut in 2013, Faker has spent 13 years with esports powerhouse T1, building a legacy unmatched in League of Legends history. Now a part-owner of the company, Faker has seen the team grow from a telecom marketing exercise to a profitable enterprise for the first time in 2026.
Widely regarded as the greatest player of all time, Faker’s Worlds championships include an extraordinary streak of three consecutive victories, and is arguably the face of competitive gaming.
The design and details of the stamp are currently unknown, but Faker will join 17 other people honored in this year’s October commemorative stamp printing .
As for Faker and T1, the LoL season hasn’t started perfectly for them. With an 1-2 record (at the time of writing) in the LCK 2026 season, the storied organization will need to secure a number of victories in the next few wins to secure a spot at this years’ Mid Season Invitational, one of just three international competitions in the LoL competitive calendar.
