League of Legends coaches for the ENC have been announced and there’s plenty of familiar faces

The Esports Nations Cup, an international esports competition between countries, created by the Saudi Arabian-backed Esports Foundation, has announced the national coaches for League of Legends.

Revealed alongside the national coaches for some, but not all of the titles featuring at the ENC, by release, the list of coaches featured plenty of familiar names especially if you’re already invested in the League of Legend scene, from current head coaches and casters, to blasts from the past. Here’s the lowdown:

Edward, YamatoCannon, and Dylan Falco headline ENC LoL coaching list

While there are dozens of names across the multitude of countries, and the full lists can be found here, we’ve put together some highlights of the major names who will be coaching at the ENC for League of Legends:

  • For Australia, Jake "Spawn" Tiberi will take up the mantle. The current head coach for Team Liquid, he was previously a caster for Riot Games Oceania and the LCO.
  • Canada gets perhaps the most storied coach in the competition with Dylan "Dylan Falco" Falco. He’s currently the head coach for G2 Esports.
  • Denmark will be helmed by Patrick "Pad" Suckow-Breum, the current head coach for Team Vitality.
  • France, of course, gets the talents ofKarmine Corp coach Quentin "Zeph" Viguié.
  • Germany’s coach will be Danusch "Arvindir" Fischer, another Team Vitality coach, the current strategic coach.
  • Team Great Britain will be fronted by James "Mac" MacCormack, a League of Legends esports personality, and head of coaching development for Team Vitality.
  • For Italy, former pro Fabrizio "Gine" Ginestroni and currently assistant coach for Solary, will take on the coaching role.
  • The Netherlands will call upon Dutch esports personality Fayan "Gevous" Pertijs who was previously a team advisor for A One Man Army.
  • Another Vitality coach, Kacper "Nahovsky" Merski, will take the coaching role for Poland, taking a break from coaching Vitality.Bee.
  • In perhaps the biggest announcement, Saudi Arabia will be coached by Edward "Edward" Abgaryan, legendary player for Moscow 5, and Gambit, and coach of FURIA and dozens other top-flight teams for years.
  • With a wealth of talent, South Korea has selected former head coach for KT Rolster, Kang "Hirai" Dong-hoon.
  • Sweden will be helmed by League of Legends personality and ex-Los Ratones and current Team Witchcraft coach, Jakob "YamatoCannon" Mebdi.
  • And last, but certainly not least, the United States team will be headed by Nick "Inero" Smith, the current Head Coach for Cloud9.

It’s certainly a list of recognizable names, but as mentioned, this isn’t the whole picture. Dozens of other nations are set to take part in the ENC this November, with coaches from around the globe.

As mentioned, the ENC is set to run from November 2026. The event will feature the world’s best players competing not for their clubs, but for their countries and territories, across a lineup of leading esports titles, including League of Legends.
