Xtreme Gaming eliminate MOUZ from ESL One Birmingham 2026

Friday was elimination day at ESL One Birmingham 2026, with MOUZ being the first of three teams to exit the playoffs today.

Day 2 of the playoffs stage at ESL One Birmingham 2026 came with not just one, but three eliminations. All three series would be in the lower bracket, and the losing teams would see their tournament lives ended. After a few struggles through the Group Stage, both MOUZ and Xtreme Gaming stumbled their way in playoffs but today would see one or the other eliminated.

Xtreme survive for the moment

A relentless tempo from MOUZ was seen in Game 1 of the series, even knowing that they have been unable to beat XG in a full series this year in tournaments. Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng’s Sand King was at the head of their attacks, while Wang “Ame” Chunyu’s Lifestealer was nowhere to be seen. Left and right, MOUZ were moving across the map, and it did not take long for their fast pace to secure them the first game in the series. Even with an Aegis steal from Xu "fy" Linsen, XG were unable to quelle the threat running them down.

But, as usual, XG were not done just yet, as they took us to a Game 3. Ame’s Weaver was uncontrollable, as he ripped through the MOUZ lineup over and over again. With the series tied, it was down to one final game to decide which of these two teams would survive Day 2 of the ESL One Birmingham 2026 playoffs.

With the new patch, we have had the pleasure of many new heroes being seen. With Bloodseeker in Game 2, MOUZ took to Game 3 with a Lich and Skeleton King. However, the early game period was not friendly, with XG moving around perfectly and controlling the map. Even with a Ravage and Cataclysm combination, MOUZ had absolutely no chance to breath, as XG pulled further ahead.

With no hope in sight, and XG winning every skirmish, MOUZ’s first game brilliance amounted to nothing, as they went down 2-1 to the Chinese squad. Unfortunately for MOUZ, that would be the end of their ESL One Birmingham 2026 run, while XG move forward to face off against Team Spirit later today.
