Xtreme and GLYPH eliminated as LGD and PARIVISION top BLAST Slam VII group stage

Four days of best-of-one chaos have finally sorted the field at BLAST Slam VII.

When the dust settled, it was LGD Gaming and PARIVISION standing at the top of the standings. The former Ex-HEROIC roster continued its impressive run under the LGD banner, securing first place and a direct berth into the Upper Bracket Semifinals.

PARIVISION followed closely behind in second, adding yet another strong result to what has been a strong late season. That finish is particularly notable given the recent debate surrounding The International 2026 invites. PARIVISION arrived at BLAST Slam VII fresh off their DreamLeague Season 29 championship and yet were still left to battle through regional qualifiers for TI. Their performance here will do little to quiet those questioning that decision.

Joining the playoffs are Team Falcons and BetBoom Team, who secured third and fourth place respectively. Both teams advance directly to the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals, where they will await the survivors of the Last Chance stage.

BLAST Slam VII eliminations

At the other end of the standings, the tournament claimed its first victims.

GLYPH became the first team eliminated after finishing with a difficult 2-9 record. They were joined by Xtreme Gaming, whose exit may draw additional scrutiny given their recent direct invitation to The International 2026.

Xtreme finished tied with both Tundra Esports and OG at 3-8, but tiebreak procedures involving Neustadtl score, head-to-head results, and original seeding ultimately worked against them.

That leaves six teams fighting for the final two playoff positions.

BLAST Slam VII Last Chance Qualifiers

Today, Team Spirit will face OG, while Aurora Gaming take on Tundra in the opening round of the Last Chance Qualifier at 14:00 CEST. Waiting in Round 2 are Team Liquid and Team Yandex — who narrowly missed direct playoff qualification but earned enough wins to skip the first elimination round.

Only two teams will emerge from the Last Chance bracket. The rest will join Xtreme and GLYPH on the sidelines.

The playoffs begin on June 4, but first there is one more hurdle to clear. And judging by how unpredictable the group stage has been, nobody should feel safe yet.
