Xm and XinQ return to Xtreme Gaming as the roster is rebuilt
It has been a few weeks since Xtreme Gaming announced that they would removing four players their roster, rebuilding around Wang “Ame” Chunyu. While the previous squad were eliminated during the Group Stage at The International 2026, they now hope to move forward, without the likes of Xu “fy” Linsen and Yap Jian “xNova” Wei.
New roster; old faces – Xtreme Gaming rebuild
After a shocking display at TI 2026, XG’s rebuild looks to improve the way in which the Chinese team plays in the new season. Announced on September 11th via the organisation’s Weibo account, the rebuilt roster sees only Ame remaining, while four new players join the team.

However, while these players are fresh for the new XG, two of them have played alongside the team in previous years. Both Guo “Xm” Hongcheng and Zhao "XinQ" Zixing were a part of TI 2025’s runner up roster, before departing the team. At the same time, both Nicholas "zeal" Lim and Ye "BoBoKa" Zhibiao come through from Team Refuser, ready to make their mark with XG.
The full new XG roster is:
- Wang “Ame” Chunyu
- Guo “Xm” Hongcheng
- Nicholas “zeal” Lim
- Zhao “XinQ” Zixing
- Ye “BoBoKa” Zhibiao
Wang “Maps” Yutian remains with the roster but moves into the head coach role.
According to the post made on Weibo, XG will be present at both PGL Wallachia Season 9 and BLAST SLAM VIII. With these events right around the corner, it will be interesting to see if the rebuilt roster can breathe life into a team that has struggled for the last year.
