Virtus.pro drops full Dota 2 roster

After a difficult 2026 season, the organization is hitting reset while confirming its commitment to Dota 2.

Virtus.pro have parted ways with their Dota 2 roster, bringing an end to the international lineup assembled over the course of late 2025.

The organization announced the decision through its Telegram channel, confirming that it will remain in Dota 2 despite releasing the current squad.

The foundations of the roster were laid in September 2025, when Enzo "Timado" Gianoli, Abed "Abed" Yusop and Tal "Fly" Aizik joined Virtus.pro alongside coach Kanishka "BuLba" Sosale. Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek followed in November, reuniting with Abed, Fly and BuLba after previously playing alongside them at Shopify Rebellion in 2023. Kirill "Hellscream" Lagutik completed the lineup later that month.

However, the rebuilt Virtus.pro struggled to turn the experienced lineup into strong results during the 2026 season. The team finished 12th–14th at PGL Wallachia Season 8 and 9th–12th at DreamLeague Season 29 before falling short in The International 2026 Europe qualifier, where they placed 5th–6th. Their final major appearance came at the Esports World Cup, ending in 13th–16th place following a loss to Rune Eaters in the Survival Stage.

The move leaves Timado, Abed, SabeRLight-, Hellscream and Fly without the Virtus.pro banner. There is no word if any of these players will continue together in the upcoming season.
