Twelve teams are set for BLAST Slam VII

With the qualifiers for BLAST Slam VII done and dusted, the full list of teams for the event is now confirmed.

2026 continues to give us a plethora of Dota 2 action, with BLAST Slam VII heading our way in May. Although the tournament may be almost two months away, the tournament list of 12 world class teams is now set. With Tundra being knocked off their perch as the undisputed BLAST champions, they will be looking to reclaim their title as we head to Copenhagen, Denmark for the tournament’s seventh iteration.

Twelve teams lock in for BLAST Slam VII

With a single elimination bracket at the previous BLAST Slam event, the tournament organiser quickly changed their format for this iteration. With a best-of-one round-robin still in place for the Group Stage, and a Last Chance Qualifier to follow it up, this time we will see a fantastic double-elimination bracket for the Playoff Stage. This means more Dota 2 action for everyone to enjoy.

BLAST Slam VII will feature twelve teams from around the globe. Eight of these teams received direct invites to the event, while four progressed through regional qualifiers to find their spot. Two spots were made available to Europe and one to Southeast Asia through the RES Unchained 4 qualifiers. While China had a single spot through their own qualifiers.

The list of teams attending BLAST Slam VII is:

  • Team Liquid (Invite)
  • HEROIC (Invite)
  • OG (Invite)
  • Team Yandex (Invite)
  • Aurora Gaming (Invite)
  • PARIVISION (Invite)
  • Team Spirit (Invite)
  • Tundra Esports (Invite)
  • Team Falcons (Invite)
  • BetBoom Team (Invite)
  • Glyph (Invite)
  • Xtreme Gaming (Invite)

Surprisingly, the new SEA stack of Glyph, has already begun to make waves as they beat out the likes of REKONIX, Team Nemesis, and Execration to reach the tournament. This should be their first Tier 1 event, having only formed a few weeks prior to the qualifiers. With Patch 7.41b now in play, and 7 weeks to go until the tournament kicks off, we will possibly see an entirely different meta and possibly a new champion for BLAST Slam VII.
