Another three teams succumb to the PGL Wallachia Season 7 Group Stage

With the penultimate day of the PGL Wallachia Season 7 Group Stage, we saw another three teams exit the tournament.

PGL Wallachia Season 7 has already seen both Team Nemesis and MOUZ exit the tournament with three losses in three days. Today, with the second last day of Group Stage action, three more teams would be joining them on the outskirts of the event. Although many teams were also making it through into playoffs, some were discovering that the competition was not an easy one to withstand.

Bowing out of PGL Wallachia Season 7

Starting the day with an elimination series can be tough for any team, but for Yellow Submarine, it was even worse as they would exit the tournament. With this being their first Tier 1 tournament since PGL Wallachia Season 3, the team were still unable to really make an impact. However, BetBoom Team were always going to have the upper hand, and held firm to send their opponent packing.

Next was one of the shock eliminations from the event, Team Falcons. Although playing with a stand-in, alongside a few other teams, Falcons presence in PGL Wallachia Season 7 was definitely not felt. After a first-round win over Nemesis, Falcons were never able to make ends meet against their follow-up opponents. Probably the most surprising loss came today with Vici Gaming making a huge stand as the team which replaced Power Rangers. The loss was the third in a row for Falcons, becoming their lowest placement since their victory at The International 2025.

It feels as though the “TI-Curse” is coming to life.

Finally, it was down to OG and Tundra Esports to survive for the final day of the Group Stage. Both teams gave us a fantastic series, but in the end, only one would keep themselves alive. While the final game saw OG make a valiant stand, once Tundra came to fight, it was all over. Unfortunately, this would spell the end for OG’s hopes of finally taking a win for Southeast Asia as they exit the tournament.

With that, only one day of PGL Wallachia Season 7’s Group Stage remains. Vici, BetBoom, and Tundra all survive for one last chance to make it through to the Playoffs.
