There has never been a three-time winner of The International, but in 2025, five players are hoping to reach that milestone.

The International 2025 is just around the corner, with teams returning to Germany to play in Hamburg this year. There will be plenty of new faces at the tournament, and many players will be hoping to win their first Aegis of Champions. However, there are five players aiming for their third win this year. This milestone has never been achieved by any player or team before, so these five players will have a lot to fight for at TI2025.

Three-time contenders to win TI2025

Team Spirit has been dominating tournaments in recent years. Although they had a tough time at TI2024, they replaced Denis "Larl" Sigitov with Alexander "rue" Filin after the tournament. This leaves the team with four players and they head to Hamburg, Germany in search of their third Aegis of Champions. After wins at TI10 and TI12, Spirit hopes to become the first team to break the record of three-time TI champions.

Players hoping to become three-time champions with Team Spirit are:

  • Yaroslav "Miposhka" Naydenov
  • Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov.
  • Miroslav "Mira" Kolpakov
  • Ilya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk.

Only one player has a chance to become a three-time international champion. That is not the case with this player. Neta "33" Shapira has won IT twice, in 2022 and 2024. However, the most interesting dynamic of the 33's wins is that he has won them with two different teams. At TI2022, he helped Tundra Esports to their first win, and last year he took first place with Team Liquid.

This year, 33 players return to the tundra in hopes of setting a new record by becoming the first player to win the TI three times, and with different teams in different years.

With TI2025 just days away, the chances of glory are huge for these five players. However, it won't be easy to achieve their goal and there will be many teams standing in their way.
