Team Yandex bench DM as ATF joins the roster

Team Yandex have moved Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin to the bench and added Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf to their roster ahead of the new Dota 2 season.
DM's move to the inactive roster ends a successful run that began earlier this year. He initially joined Yandex as a stand-in for PGL Wallachia Season 7 in March, helping the team lift the trophy before officially joining the roster in May.
During our time together, we managed to come a long way, play many important matches and lift several trophies (...) Thank you, Dima, for this period and for everything we achieved together.
During his time with the team, DM helped Yandex establish themselves among Dota 2's leading sides. They followed their Wallachia title with another trophy at BLAST Slam VII, finished third at the Esports World Cup and capped the season with another third-place finish at The International 2026.
ATF arrives following Team Falcons' decision to step away from Dota 2 earlier this month, which left the organization's former players free to pursue new teams. The Jordanian offlaner had spent nearly three years with Falcons and was part of the roster that won The International 2025.
His move also comes amid a wider reshuffling of the former Falcons lineup. Oliver Skiter Lepko has since joined Aurora Gaming, while Andreas "Cr1t-" Nielsen is taking a break from competition.
Yandex will not have long to settle into their new lineup. The team is among those invited to PGL Wallachia Season 9, which begins September 19.
