Puppey power; PARIVISION gets new coach for DreamLeague Season 27
Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov and Dota 2 success used to be an inconic duo. For over a decade, his name was synonymous with peak performance. TI11 marked his eleventh consecutive appearance at The International, a streak no one else has yet matched (shhhh, we don't need to tell him that Andreas "Cr1t-" Nielsen is encroaching on that with nine consecutive TI appearances). But like all good things, that era eventually hit its downturn and since 2022, the fall from grace has been hard.
Now, he is trying his hand at coaching.
For one of the greatest captains and players the game has ever seen, this move from PARIVISION has the potential to pay off in multitudes. The team has been struggling for months, even publicly acknowledging that they’d begun working with a sports psychologist to stabilize internal dynamics. Their most recent run — a 5–6th place finish at PGL Wallachia Season 6 — was respectable but nowhere near the trajectory they’ve been aiming for.
As part of retooling stratey, PARIVISION parted ways with Filipe “Astini” Ribeiro, following speculation about clashes over drafts and the team’s overall direction.
If there’s even a kernel of truth to that, bringing in Puppey is the kind of high-risk, high-reward roster shift that can either steady the ship… or crack it clean in half.
DreamLeague Season 27 begins tomorrow, Wednesday, December 10th as 24 teams battle it out for the largest slice of the $1,000,000 prize pool.
And PARIVISION will be on hand to defend their title with their new 'secret' weapon.
