KuroKy and OmaR under new banner at PGL Wallachia Season 9

A new team has entered the Dota 2 scene, and it carries a familiar core of players.

Conventus Stellarum will make its competitive debut at PGL Wallachia Season 9, featuring a roster built around former Nigma Galaxy players and the organisation co-founder, Kuro "KuroKy" Takhasomi himself.

Conventus Stellarum's lineup for PGL Wallachia Season 9:

  • Daniel "Ghost" Chan
  • Artem "lorenof" Melnyk
  • Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin
  • Omar "OmaR" Moughrabi
  • Nikita "panto" Balaganin
  • Coach: Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi

Four of the five players have direct ties to Nigma Galaxy. Lorenof and OmaR were core members of Nigma's TI 2026 roster, while Ghost previously stood in for the organisation through the 2025-2026 competitive season. KuroKy, Nigma's co-founder and coach, rounds out the coaching staff.

Two new additions bring fresh faces to the mix. DM has joined what seems to be a new KuroKy project after being benched on the Team Yandex lineup earlier this week. Panto joins in the support 5 position after he last competed for MOUZ and has been notably absent from the Tier 1 scene since his departure from Team Spirit in May 2026.

Whether this represents a temporary arrangement for PGL Wallachia, a soft launch of a new project, or the quiet dissolution of Nigma's active Dota 2 division is unclear. The organisation has yet to release any official statement regarding its future.

Most likely, PGL Wallachia Season 9 will serve as the first real test for Conventus Stellarum, which could either turn into a one-off experiment or the foundation of something more permanent. The tournament runs from September 19-27 at the PGL Studios in Bucharest, Romania, with a $1,000,000 prize pool on the line.
