Get rdy: Competitive guide for October 5-11th

A new week is upon us and that means events and competitive matches will be gearing up or winding down. With this season's packed schedule it is easy to miss something, so we've compiled a weekly planning guide to keep track of what is going on.
League of Legends
Demacia Cup Global Invitational
The DCGI is now in full swing, with the first matches seemingly confirming the regional superiority of the South Korea number five and six seeds of the LCK go undefeated in the first few days. This week will see the first eliminations in this regional runners-up tournament, with Vietnam’s GAM Esports, the LEC’s NAVI, and LCS’s Shopify Rebellion seemingly on the chopping block.
Worlds 2026
Worlds 2026 is on the horizon with the start of the tournament just 10 days away The 2026 worlds anthem premiers on the Nov. 8 as virtual group True Damage perform the track.
CBLoL
CBLoL locked in their Worlds 2026 participants last week, but now Brazil's two top teams, FURIA and LOS will compete to win the final split of the season, and for crucial seeding places.

Counter-Strike 2
ESL Pro League
By the time you read this, G2 might be out of ESL Pro League.
They're 0-2 as we write this after a horrendous showing against NAVI and then a poor loss to 1win in a very poor game (in which they won their only map of the event, 13-1?). It's been a predictably chaotic start to the Swiss system, and with three more days of it before playoffs on Friday, we're all in.
It's looking like it could be a stacked playoffs too, as Vitality, MOUZ, Spirit and Falcons are all flying. It's shaping up to be a classic in Katowice, just as the CS Gods intended. We can't wait for this weekend.

Dota 2
BLAST SLAM VIII
BLAST Slam Circuit has finally reached the playoff stage after filling in all seeds this last weekend. However the action is now on hold so that the six remaining teams can travel to Malta and compete offline.
The action will resume on Thursday, October 8th with the first of the Upper Bracket Quarter Finals at 11:00 CEST. Yandex will take on LGD Gaming, followed by 1w going head-to-head with Aurora.
Regional Affairs
Local and regional fans have very little treats on the menu this week.
Southeast Asia
EPL World Series: Southeast Asia Season 18 began on September 25th with eight teams competing for their share of the $10,000 prize pool and is whittling away down to the final few. The group stage is expected to finish today, October 5th. Xipto, the new Indonesian and Thai stack and Yangon Galacticos are still the two teams leading the pack.
Qualifiers
PARI Universe: Closed Qualifier is taking place between the 5th and the 8th. The event hosted by FISSURE sees eight invited European teams competing for the one slot to play at the main event taking place at the end of October featuring ten teams and $250,000. So far 1w, BetBoom, OG, PARIVISION, Team Liquid, and Team Spirit have all confirmed their participation.
DreamLeague Season 30 open qualifiers will begin for four regions: EEU, WEU, SEA, and SA on October 10th. The main event doesn't take place until early December.
